Whole Woman Yoga – Finally, a Yoga by and for Women
The ancient spiritual tradition of Hatha, or physical Yoga is an evolving stream with many branches.
Until the early part of the 20th century, Hatha Yoga had been an almost exclusively male tradition. Today, more than half of Yoga practitioners in the West are women. While it is wonderful that this tradition is available to and embraced by women, some of the Yoga asanas or postures are problematic for the female pelvic organ support system. Since Hatha Yoga was developed by men for male bodies, this should not be surprising.
Christine Kent, author of the groundbreaking book, Saving the Whole Woman, Natural Alternatives to Surgery for Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Urinary Incontinence and producer of the First Aid for Prolapse DVD has developed the Whole Woman Yoga™, a Yoga designed by and for women.
Building on many traditional Yoga asanas, Christine Kent has made modifications to enhance pelvic organ support.
This two part DVD celebrates the Yoga tradition of sacredness and unity of all things and provides a step-by-step Yoga practice for women. Challenging enough for experienced practitioners, she also shows alternative postures that are easier for less experienced or less physically capable women.
Whole Woman Yoga™ opens a new chapter in the evolution of Yoga.
DVD – Running time approximately 45 minutes.
