Pickled Quail Eggs! Exoman bought these eggs in the market for about $8 for 30 eggs. He pickled the eggs in a 50/50 vinegar/water solution and used beets for the bright purple-red color and a bit of sweetness. He added 1.5 tspn salt but no sugar. Add sugar if you like a sweeter taste. Also consider adding cayenne or red pepper flakes for heat or adding your favorite herb and spices.
