Hi! I’m Christina, and welcome to my yoga YouTube channel, ChriskaYoga! This is a quick and simple 15 minute yoga routine for busy moms! It’s a great sequence to do on Mother’s Day! Take some time out for yourself, and get some yoga into your day! This yoga routine will help to release tension from the neck and shoulder area, relieve low back pain, and wake up your body helping you to feel more refreshed!
We’ll begin in easy pose (sukhasana) and roll out the neck and shoulders to reduce tension. Then we’ll stretch the arms as well on both sides. Next, to find some length in the low back, we will relax in a child’s pose before taking several cat and cow stretches.
Then we’ll come into downward facing dog pose (adho mukha svanasana) and come into a couple of standing poses such as high lunge (crescent lunge) and warrior 2 (virabhadrasana II).
Then to release tension from the hips, we’ll lay down on the back and take a supine pigeon pose (thread the needle), which stretches the piriformis as well.
You have the option of resting in a savasana if you’d like, or you can end the sequence there.
