I’m in the Dominican Republic for a three week intensive yoga teacher training, and I’ve been working on perfecting my 5 person Downdog Pyramid with my trainees. This is a fun team building acro yoga pose that takes a little coordination, a lot of communication, and makes for a fun photo op.
Be sure to protect your base downdoggers – don’t put direct pressure on their spine or too much weight in their low back. Frame their sacrum (right around the waistband of their shorts/pants is usually a good landmark) with both hands or feet. And of course, have fun 🙂
We haven’t quite nailed the legs up on the top, but we’re almost there.
