Curtain Raiser Event for International Day of Yoga (IDY) was held at B.R. Ambedkar stadium at ONGC, 7th June- 2018 with Hon’ble MoS Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat, Uttarakhand Ayush Minister Dr Harak Singh Rawat, Swami Chidanand Saraswati of Parmarath Niketan, legislators Harbans Kapoor and Ganesh Joshi, Acharya Balkrishan, Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh, DGP Anil Raturi, Union Ayush Secretary Shri Rajesh Kotecha, Uttarakhand Secretaries R.K. Sudhanshu and Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey and a large number of senior officers practiced yoga with Swami Ramdev. The event was received with tremendous enthusiasm by the people of Dehradun. The city is now keen and eager to host the national event of IDY on 21st June 2018, in which the Prime Minister is scheduled to participate.
