Practicing goddess pose with the pelvic floor in mind can improve stress incontinence (peeing when you sneeze…). It can also improve diastisis recti. Practicing in this way strengthens the lower body and helps create a mind/body connection between the brain and the pelvic region. This pose is safe during pregnancy and can be practiced as part of prenatal yoga. It is a great pose for strengthening muscles in the postpartum period. It is also a great pose for seniors to practice to increase muscles tone.
