Good Morning Yoga: A pose-by-pose wake up story by Mariam Gates is a favorite! It keeps kids engaged from the beginning and allows time to practice some yoga skills. You can grab your copy here: https://amzn.to/2US4x8q
Each page starts with “As I breathe in, as I breathe out…” so you are encouraging deep breathing and calm in your kids. The gorgeous illustrations from Sarah Jane HInder allow kids to visualize the yoga pose and what they can picture in their minds as they are doing the pose.
This is one of my favorite books to share with kids who “don’t like to read.” It gets them engaged from the beginning and gets out some energy while they are listening to the read aloud! This active engagement and movement will inspire any child to want to read.
Good Morning Yoga is definitely on my list of top 10 books to inspire a love of reading with your kids~ Download the entire list of 10 books: bit.ly/Love10books
