If you want to be able to control your scoliosis it is very important to release of tight hip muscles. The psoas muscle connects the femur to the spine. With scoliosis your back bends to the side which will cause a shortening and tightening of the psoas. If you straighten your spine with scoliosis and then try and stand up the shortened psoas will then pull on your spine giving you pain and prematurely wear out any discs that aren’t fused. So, do yourself a favour and stretch out your hips.
