You might not always have time for a full yoga session, but you can accomplish a significant amount in just a couple of minutes.
Lizard and Pigeon are two of my favorite hip stretches, and they’re perfect for countering a seated position. The end result should have your back feeling way better, and less tension in your knees as well.
Lizard helps to open your hip flexors and groin, while pigeon works mainly on your external hip rotators (your glutes) in addition to your abductors (outer thighs), and hip flexors.
Hold each stretch for at least 30 seconds, and up to 90 seconds. Even though it’s stretching, it’s important that you pay close attention to technique.
Give this routine a shot after work today, and let me know how it goes!
