Experiencing low back pain when doing a handstand?
Your low back pain may be caused by excessive pressure on your lumber vertebra’s spinous process. This is likely due to a lack of core and leg engagement while in the handstand position.
This is something that I suffered from when I first started doing handstands because I didn’t have proper technique. Start by working on your hollow body holds in order to reduce low back pain.
Hollow body holds will increase the strength of your lower abs while the low back is pressing into the ground. The lower abs will alleviate pressure from your spinous process and give you and aesthetic look to your handstand.
