“UNESCO, recognizes the clear potential of yoga for education, because our Organization believes that schools must provide an environment conducive to learning, where children feel physically and mentally safe, encouraged to learn from mistakes. In our recommendations, we suggest to policy makers that children must be recognized and respected for their multiple talents beyond academic excellence” said Mr Eric Falt, Director and UNESCO Representative, in his address as Chief Guest, during the inaugural session of the Yoga Olympiad launch organized by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), at New Delhi.
