Welcome to your power yoga flow that sets the intention to twist towards YOUR STRENGTH!

All of us, including you, have strengths (as well as weaknesses). And if you’re like me, you tend to focus your energy on those weaknesses.

I don’t follow through with intentions. I don’t prioritize what’s important. I’m quick to temper. I’m bad at connecting with my emotions. I’m easily distracted. I don’t value my health. I let fear make the decisions.

….. and the list goes on and on.

How often do you stop this conversation and shift into your strengths? Truly, ask yourself this question.

When was the last time you twisted towards your strength?

I am capable. I am powerful. I am strong. I am organized. I am detailed. I am creative. I am assertive. I am thoughtfu. I am confident. I am a mother f*cking goddess.

If you’re like me, you might be in a moment of revolutionary strength, and yet your weakness volume is set TOO HIGH and you can’t even enjoy it.

Are you nodding your head yet? Uh huh. Uh huh. Uh huh.

I believe we are on the same page. Let me take it one layer further, and then today’s sermon is over.

Over here in the Caribbean, floating around on Alfie, I’ve got some serioussss goals to reach. I’ve had enough with the weakness talk and have decided to take a stand. Here’s what this looks like in my life.

*No drinking for 20 days (read more about that here).
*Morning ceremony: pranayama, mantra meditation, gentle yoga, writing in my journal and/or dry brushing
*Being productive over BUSY
*Moving my BODY
*Choosing HAPPINESS over and over again
*Forgiving myself when it comes to all of the above

When the above actions are set into motion, my strengths have no choice, they are destined to support my BEST SELF journey.

Which brings me to today’s yoga class, hello power practice that includes allll the strong twisting postures.

We begin on the floor with twisting core work, move to twisting plank core work (aka crouching tigers), rise up into a twisted standing posture sequence, fly high in parsva bakasana, and end with a twisted, seated series that lands in savasana.

Throughout the practice, I encourage you to focus on your strengths, but I also encourage you to show up with what your strengths are.

Write them down, place them in front of your mat, and continue to repeat them over and over again.

I promise, this repetition stuff works, so maybe bring your strengths with you for the rest of the day too.

I am strong. I am strong. I am strong. I am strong. I am strong. I am strong.
