In honor of International Yoga Day and the Summer Solstice, I am posting my first Sky Life yoga video!

When I started practicing yoga nine years ago, it was a purely physical practice. I loved the challenge of a hot, power class and my goal was to increase strength and flexibility for soccer and prevent injury. Yoga definitely fulfilled those goals, but before I knew it, the practice was working on my mind and soul on a far deeper level. Since then, I have explored all different types of yoga. Now, I love practicing Bhakti yoga, which involves chanting and deeper meditation. But I will always love power vinyasa yoga because that was my gateway to falling in love with yoga!

I am a certified yoga teacher. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja, Mexico. My yoga teacher training was the most transformative experience of my life and I recommend this training to anyone looking to expand your yoga practice and dive into deep, inner work. I have been teaching yoga for five years since I began teaching in college.
