During pregnancy, a huge number of women suffer with Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) which as well as causing discomfort, aches and pains, also restricts movement and exercise.
You may have heard of symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD) which is a form of pelvic girdle pain during pregnancy and something that this short yoga sequence can help with.
Pre-Natal yoga can be practised if you feel you have the energy for some gentle poses.
These pelvic girdle pain exercises are based on cat pose, moving slowly through plank and downward facing dog to stretch the base of the pelvis and the lower back. This will create some space and keep you moving, even just a little, whilst keeping the pelvis aligned.
