YOGA POSTURE BASICS
In this Yoga Video I, Marianne give you instructions on how to do the Yin Yoga pose: Wrist Stretches also known as Wrist Extension Pose and Wrist Flexion Pose. I have just renamed it. Great for those Computer Junkies out there. Give those wrists a break!

YOGA BENEFITS
Physical benefits*:
This Yoga pose allows you to release tension in the wrist by:
+ releasing tension in the wrist and lower arm
+ stretching the muscles in your hand and lower arm
+ extending the wrist and creating a stretch on the inside of the arm, close to the wrist
+ flexing the wrist and creating a stretch at the top of your hand, close to the wrist

ALTERNATIVE POSES
Alternative poses can be:
+ Doing the same stretches, but then by sitting on a chair instead and stretching your arms out in front of you. You then extend and flex the wrist one by one. Use the other hand to increase the extension or flexion.

*NB: Always consult a physician in doubt. I, Marianne will guide you the best possible way, but if you have an (old) injury or a permanent condition and you are not sure whether you should do Yin Yoga, always discuss it with your physician first. Remember: You are responsible for your own body, so be sensible please.
