This is a yoga sequence designed to keep your back healthy if you practice regularly. The poses will stretch out tight muscles, strengthen key areas and create ease in the whole back.
The sequence includes:
A gentle dynamic twist to reset the spine, gently stretch hip flexors and warm up the muscles.
Pelvic tilts to stabilise the pelvis and switch on the core muscles
Locust pose – backbend lying on the front to strengthen the whole back and repattern the core and lower back muscles.
Child’s pose to create ease in the lower back and S.I. joint
S.I. joint movements to ease tension.
