A whole lot of back pain is preventable. A whole lot of back pain is curable. And a whole lot of us have back pain!
So let’s get moving on this. A basic guideline for a happy back is: move easy, everything you’ve got, in every direction you can. This kind of movement helps your body restore healthy alignment in your spine, and triggers your body’s Relaxation Response: a cascade of physiological reactions that put your body in its most effective healing mode.
I started helping people with their backs a whole lot more after hurting my own a few years ago, from a combination of roughhousing and sitting immovable at a desk for long hours. Since then I’ve been working with hundreds of people at Strala in New York, and thousands of people around the world, to help them keep and restore healthy backs. In many cases (including my own), people have been able to avoid surgery, and get themselves to a completely happy great-feeling back. Which is a perfect starting point for a completely happy great-feeling body!
