This yoga for runners class is all about the shoulders – to help us improve our posture and therefore our running technique.
Why is this area SO important for runners? Hunched shoulders obviously leads to poor posture and poor running alignment. Core strength is the first thing to work on, then this combination of opening the front of the chest and shoulders and strengthening the back of the shoulders, to help us stand, and run, tall!
Remember that you are always responsible for your own body and that it is important to listen to and respect it. Don’t push yourself too hard but notice your progress over time 🙂
You’ll need a mat and a blanket or towel, and we’ll get started!
