Down Dog is one of the fundamental poses in almost all yoga practices, but we have a little different focus on this pose in a swimming-specific yoga practice.
For swimmers it is very important to develop shoulder stability while increasing range of motion which we focus on here. We also concentrate on making active length in the spine a higher priority over straightening the legs.
