WEEK 21 – We gently warm up in our yoga practice today with clearing the nasal passageway. This kind of circular breathing can be used anytime to help with pregnancy congestion. The prenatal yoga we do this week touches all parts of the body with getting into the hip flexors with crescent pose and warrior 2. You can watch me fall over in warrior 3 today! Our center of gravity is shifting all the time with our growing babies, but that’s maybe not the reason why I fall, it’s just fun and truth be told…I fall all the time 🙂
At the beginning of this sequence, we have our slow warm up but get right into the heat with goddess pose squats, using our breath that we practiced while sitting. Great practice for labor and gaining strength.
This week my favorite pose is standing cross-legged forward fold to get into the IT band and side leg. Ahh! Feels so good to get some release on the sides of my legs. I also love the knee over knee pose to get into the stretch of the outer hip. How does this week’s practice feel for you?
