A senior IAS officer in Uttar Pradesh turned the tenets of crowd control on their head. Facing the task of keeping engaged over 400 restive beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) who were waiting to collect their allotment letters at the collectorate ground on Sunday morning, Aligarh’s chief development officer (CDO) Dinesh Chandra Singh gave them a 45-minute lecture and demonstration on yoga. As many of them joined the yoga session, the CDO taught them about the right postures and gave Rs 100 reward to those who did ‘asanas’ correctly.
