YOGA POSTURE BASICS
In this Yoga Video I, Marianne give you instructions on how to do the Yin Yoga pose: Half Straddle Pose (Adductor Stretch Pose). Give those inner thighs and hamstrings a good stretch.
YOGA BENEFITS
Physical benefits*:
This Yoga pose allows you to:
+ stretch the muscles at the back of your extended leg (hamstrings)
+ stretch the muscles on the inside of the leg with the bend knee (adductors)
+ stretch the muscles on the outside of your thigh of the leg with the bend knee (IT band and glutes)
+ stretch the lateral side of your torso in case you lean sideways
+ stretch the major muscles along the spine in case you bow forwards
+ relax the front of the body, so belly and chest, in case you bow forwards
