This is week 1 of my free online baby massage course, which will show you how to massage your baby over 5 weeks. We start with how to massage the legs and feet as it is the area which your baby is used to being touched due to nappy changing etc.
The benefits of baby massage for both parent and baby are undeniable; numerous medical practitioners around the world support and encourage it. This 5-week infant massage course shows you how to massage your baby, week by week. It gives all parents the chance to give their newborn babies the best start in life in the comfort of their own home.
If you have the opportunity to attend a local course, I would definitely recommend it as not only do you receive the opportunity to ask questions, learn about baby cues and get feedback about your massage technique you also receive emotional support from a group of mums (and sometimes dads too) going through the same thing at the same time as you. It also can help to build a sense of community and connection to other people.
My intension for this free online 5-week baby massage course is that baby massage is accessible to everyone including those who do not live in areas where there are baby massage classes. In my experience of teaching baby massage to groups is that sometimes life takes over – your baby hasn’t slept well, or is unwell and you have to miss a class. But now you can watch the course online for free. It isn’t the same experience, but it has its own benefits.

Carrying a baby is hard work – even for the fittest parent! So it is important to look after yourself and have a little stretch from time to time.
