Watch as Ladies’ Home Journal shows you how to get back pain relief from the floor scarecrow yoga pose! These yoga poses help to relieve back pain with simple stretches. To start the yoga move, lay on your back with your knees bent. Your feet should be flat on the floor. Bending your elbows, lay your arms out to the side with your palms facing the ceiling. Your elbows should be aligned with your shoulders. Slowly raise your arms overhead along the floor until they’re nearly straight. Pause, then slowly slide them back down, squeezing your shoulder blades at the same time. Don’t worry if your shoulders don’t lay flat on the floor, because you will eventually gain this mobility over time. Yoga therapy is great for pain relief, especially when you truly move through the poses to warm up your muscles!
