In this video, I demonstrate how to practice one of the most recognized Yoga poses: ‘Downward Facing Dog’ or ‘Adho Mukha Svanasana’. I also show the basic principles of alignment for this asana, and some modifications you can use according to your body requirements.

This pose is a mild inversion that builds strength while stretching the whole body. The name is derived from the way dogs naturally stretch their entire bodies. It is also an essential component of ‘Sun Salutations’ and often considered as a resting and transition pose during a sequence.
