Can pregnant women do AcroYoga? Heck yes! If you are pregnant and want to play, please excercise caution when doing ANYTHING that involves feet dancing around your midsection or high-flying excitement.
This is a video of Daniel playing with Leticia, a fellow AcroYoga teacher in Barcelona. Leticia was almost 8 months pregnant at the time this video was shot, and has since had a beautiful baby girl.
AcroYoga is the practice of trust. How does one build this trust? Communication, patience, and sensitivity.
Trust is a valuable commodity in every partnership. Speed is not. Leticia is listening to her body. Daniel is listening to Leticia.
Communication creates strong bonds. Learn to listen to your partner. Turn hands, feet, hips, and shoulders into ears.
Patience empowers communication and sensitivity, which allows amazing to occur.
Don’t jump outside of your comfort zone– EXPAND IT. Make decisions based on intuition.
Look past the flash. Enjoy substance instead.
Don’t worry about how it look. Rejoice in how it feels!
Handle your partner as you would a newborn baby. Support them in ways you wish to be supported.
After all is said and done, AcroYoga is not just a lifestyle. It is a style of life.
Create life by sharing yours.
Skills required:
–the desire to share your life
