This is a tutorial for learning how to practice one of the most important Hatha Yoga Kriyas for internal hygiene, long life, and energy control. Many people have poor condition of the internal organs, especially the intestinal tract. This exercise can stimulate the good functioning and is a manual peristalsis that can move along digestive matter and help clear blockages in the body as well as tone the other organs. By practicing it you’ll be more sensitive internally and also notice the effects of specific foods on the body, therefor naturally starting to choose the most appropriate foods for that time and body.
These exercises are best done early in the morning on an empty stomach. It is even better when the diet is light, especially the previous night dinner should be modest for best effect. For women it is advised not to do these exercises during menstruation or pregnancy. For other conditions that may be related to the abdominal cavity, thoracic cavity etc… please consult a doctor or experienced teacher before doing these exercises.
This also has a psychic component which redirects downwards moving awareness towards the higher aspects of intelligence, namely the intelligence of the heart, throat, and brain.
