Yoga for ankle will help you relieve pain in ankle and develop ankle strength. This yoga workout is also helps in ankle flexibility and ankle stability. By doing these feet exercises you can also prevent ankle injuries. As building ankle strength is important in order to lead an active life, make sure you practice these ankle exercises regularly.
Start by standing on the knees. Take the right ankle into the right hand. Also bring your left palm on to the ankle. Then begin to lift and pull the ankle towards your buttock.
Take your right palm upto the toes, keep pulling the feet towards your buttock. Feel the nice stretch in the front of the ankle. Release and repeat on the other side.
Next, grip onto the left ankle to give it support, hold the top of the food with the other hand. Pull it a little higher and then release.
Sit on the heels, bring your knees together, keep your feet flat so that your big toes are touching. Walk the palms back, keep the chest lifted and stay here for a few breaths. If this feels good, go a bit deeper.
Come down onto the elbow, then the other elbow and stay there.
Next, lie completely on the bolster. This gives an excellent stretch to your ankles. Relax and enjoy the pose.
Come out of the posture by supporting yourself on the palms, push all the way up and return back to how you started.
