This class is very gentle and helps relieve lower back pain. Suitable for all bodies and ages. You will need a chair, blanket, and yoga strap (or tie/scarf). Make sure you stay comfortable and adjust the poses as you need to. This class can be practiced any time of day and can even be taken into the office (tricky with last two poses)! Focus on breathing deep full relaxing breaths while you release the tension in your body. Beginning in a short centering breathing exercise, you transition into warming up your neck, shoulder, arm and wrist joints. A seated forward fold directly relaxes the lower spine, and you will also do a hamstring stretch. Support your digestion in seated spinal twist before moving into Apasana (energy relieving pose). The final pose (Savasana) includes elevated calves on the chair where you can relax as long as you want. Try closing your eyes and fully relaxing your body and mind.
