A gymnast’s schedule is strict. They train at least 10 hours a week practising repeatedly a skill or a whole routine over and over again to improve their strength, flexibility and agility. All this so that when they get to the competitions, they will be able to perform the routine flawlessly. High levels of concentration and focus is required all through practising, training and when performing. And despite all the practising and training beforehand, fear of failure is an ever lasting aspect of competitions.
